***Halloween 2005***

IT WAS A BOO-TIFUL NIGHT!... Halloween in our village center was such a blast! There must have been over 350 people walking abound with their families. Friends bumped into friends, neighbors stopped and chatted with neighbors, newcomers met old-timers... many parents got into the spirit and dressed up as well to trick or treat with their kids! Robin dressed up as a foxy-looking scarecrow and Larry went as an uncharacteristically, saintly monk offering to hear confessions… The weather was terrific, we handed out a ton of candy and Barbara's Boo-Den was a hit once again for the umpteenth year. Most certainly our Police Dept. did another fine job providing safe crossings at the busy rotary. Thanks also to those who dropped off candy that was distributed to the center residents.

It's been suggested that next year we might all want to think about everyone carving a pumpkin and then dropping it off in the village center to line the rotary and streets! Sounds magical for the kids doesn't it?! What do you all think?
