***Scout Day at Ferns***

Last summer Troop 859, Springfield. VA stopped by Ferns on “Wear your Scout uniform to Ferns and get a free Italian Ice Slushie Day.” The Troop was enroute to Maine for a week-long backcountry canoeing adventure. Pictured here with the Scouts in the front row are Robin Emerson, Co-Proprietor of Ferns, Ned Lundquist, one of the Troop leaders and founder of JOTW, and Eagle Scout Larry Bearfield, Co-Proprietor of Ferns and 43 year veteran of the Boy Scouts (and still involved!).

Ned never misses an opportunity to embrace a gorgeous woman! And Robin never turns them down! Ned is a long time friend of Larry’s. Indeed, they worked at Hidden Valley Boy Scout Camp in New Hampshire more than * ahem * a few years ago, although Larry swears that he’s much, much, much younger than Ned! Both Ned and Larry are proud Eagle Scouts.
