Step through our old wooden doors and you're immediately greeted by the gentle aromas of smells that will cause your stomach to grumble..…that's because we bake our goodies daily right here in-store!

Then walk over to our bakery department and feast your eyes on our freshly baked goodies… We call it our "famous talking bakery" because something is sure to be calling your name! And if you're like most people, you'll be having a dialogue in your head that goes something like this:

"Man oh man, does that chocolate croissant ever look good…" "Yeah, but you really shouldn't…" "Or how about that cinnamon bun with that icy glaze…" "Yeah, but you really shouldn't…" "Wow! That almond croissant looks tasty… or that cream cheese one…" "Yeah, but you really shouldn't…"

Our world-famous Road Kill Cookies! They're alive and well at Ferns. Well, not exactly alive but they are back! Last winter, we had a heck of a time getting road kill to produce our famous cookies but the spring and summer was pretty active. Our good friends at the DPW drop off a constant supply for us to ensure that we have a full supply of Road Kill Cookies in our bakery. We usually feature Skunks and Frogs but that can change daily depending on what's brought in form our Town roads.
NOTE: You MUST be under 14 to purchase Road Kill Cookies… no exceptions! However, we DO allow a young person to buy for an adult. No whining or bribing the staff please!
Yogurt Muffins… they're world-famous and even better then they sound! How good are they? Well, we sell over 24 dozen a week so you be the judge! Flavors range from Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese, Blueberry Crumb, Multi-Berry and Corn Muffins to Cappuccino, Cranberry Orange, and Apple Bran. Our Yogurt Muffins come to us from world famous Morrisons Bakery in New York.
Brownies… they're to die for! Take your pick… deep chocolate brownies layered with chocolate icing… with or without rainbow sprinkles… walnut covered… laced with cream cheese or old fashioned plain. Ferns brownies are a favorite! They come to us from Dutch Made Bakery, Boston.
Fresh Baked Bagels… so good you'll swear you're in New York… without the traffic. Available straight up or with cream cheese.
Apple & Raspberry Sticks…Kevin O'Connor of This Old House calls them "Harmonicas"… you'll call the delicious! Always fresh! A light pastry with just enough mouth-watering, fruit filling topped with a light sprinkling of sugar to give it a sweet taste.
